The Controller does not publish a detailed list of the categories of personal data collected. Full details for each category are provided in the dedicated sections of this policy or by specific information notices displayed before the data is collected.

Personal data may be freely provided by the user or, in the case of usage data, collected automatically when using this application.

Unless otherwise specified, all data requested by this application is mandatory: refusing to provide it may make the service impossible to deliver. Where this application indicates certain data as optional, users are free not to provide it, without any consequence on the availability or the operation of the service.

The use of cookies — or of other tracking tools — by this application serves to deliver the service requested by the user and any further purposes described in this document and in the Cookie Policy.

The Controller adopts appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction of personal data. Processing is carried out using IT and/or electronic tools, according to organisational procedures and logic strictly related to the stated purposes.

Besides the Controller, data may be accessible to other parties involved in operating the application (administrative, sales, marketing, legal staff and system administrators) or external parties (third-party technical service providers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies), appointed as Data Processors where necessary.

Data is processed at the Controller's operating offices and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located. Data may be transferred to a country other than the user's.

Unless otherwise indicated in this document, personal data is processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose for which it was collected, and may be retained longer to comply with a legal obligation or on the basis of user consent.

• Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Controller and the user is retained until the contract has been fully performed.
• Data collected for the legitimate interest of the Controller is retained as long as needed to fulfil that interest.

Where processing is based on consent, the Controller may retain the data until consent is withdrawn. At the end of the retention period the data is deleted.

The Controller processes personal data relating to the user if one of the following conditions applies:

• the user has given consent for one or more specific purposes;
• processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the user and/or for pre-contractual measures;
• processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject;
• processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or by a third party.

Users may always ask the Controller to clarify the specific legal basis of each processing activity.

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, users can exercise the following rights with respect to the Controller:

• Withdraw their consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
• Object to processing based on a legal ground other than consent.
• Access their data and obtain a copy of the data being processed.
• Verify and request rectification of their data.
• Restrict the processing of their data.
• Have their data erased (right to be forgotten).
• Receive their data or have it transferred to another controller (data portability).
• Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (the Italian Data Protection Authority) or take legal action.

Requests to exercise these rights may be sent to the Controller at info@digitaldistricts.it. Requests are free of charge and the Controller will respond as promptly as possible, and in any case within one month.
